Our History

Formed at the outset of WORLD WAR 2 under the name Empire Welding, we were employed by the Admiralty to carry out ship repair work until 1944. We then involved ourselves in repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment used in the open cast coal industry.

At about this time , we began to manufacture household back boilers for the building trade and also the making of ornamental gates and railings, which had been removed and melted down to assist the war effort.

For over 25 years, we carried out maintenance and repairs for the Air Ministry at Burtonwood, and manufactured large bore exhaust systems for overseas air bases. In 1960 we were contracted to carry out all the welding requirements on the M6 Thelwall Viaduct by West Raymond Piling.

For 10 years until 1974 we carried out site welding alterations to customers requirements for example Sanders & Fosters manufacturers of Industrial buildings.

Since 1966, we have been involved in the manufacture of pipe supports and associated steelwork in the chemical industry.
